Research positions

(POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW / RESEARCH ASSOCIATE / RESEARCH ASSISTANT)

I am also looking for researchers who are interested in doing research in energy-related materials and their engineering applications. Candidates with undergraduate (or higher level) major in materials science, electrical engineering, and biomedical engineering are welcomed. Candidates with experience in instrumentation, imaging processing, and electronics are preferred as well.

I am also keen on supporting strong candidates for applying Fellowships. Non-UK candidate can go for Newton International Fellowships and EC Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Fellowships.

Research Graduate student positions

I am looking for applicants who are intending to purse a Ph.D. degree. Our research topics are interdisciplinary, so candidates with undergraduate (or higher level) major in materials science, electrical engineering, and biomedical engineering are welcomed. Candidates with competitive background and experience in instrumentation will be preferred as well. The potential Ph.D. projects include, but are not limited to,

Piezoelectric materials
Thermoelectric materials
Miniature ultrasonic transducers for biomedical applications
Multi-modality imaging probes
Multi-functional devices (sensing, imaging, therapeutic, etc.)
Battery health prediction and monitoring
Non-destructive evaluation by ultrasound
